Costa Teguise - Lanzarote - Best Bits

I can't believe I'm actually making a post about our honeymoon - this is crazy! It's all over - but I will be reliving the wedding and everything surrounding it over a series of blog posts ;)
But in the mean time, Nick suggested I did a little post about the highlights of our mini-moon in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote especially as I've enjoyed being in a little facebook group just for those who are visiting or living in (GOALS) the area. So I hope someone who is visiting soon finds these little best bits useful for future trips! I love Lanzarote and I've been 10+ times now, staying at the same hotel all but 2 times, anyone who knows me knows it's my go-to and since meeting Nick, he's fell in love with the Island too. And there's plenty of reason why...

OUR FAVOURITE COCKTAIL: A cocktail called "The Lighthouse" at a bar called... you guessed it, "The Lighthouse" is our all time favourite cocktail, year in year out. It's super fruity …

East Street Lanes

A few weeks ago we were kindly invited to the launch of Leicester's newest hot spot - East Street Lanes! A cool, funky-feel bowling alley with the hottest cocktail menu and delicious stone-baked pizzas!
I knew it was going to a be good night as East Street Lanes were introduced to Leicester by the same team who opened Caddyshackers last year - and it wasn't a disappointment! We arrived and were given 3 tokens each for a free drink at the bar and there was plenty to use from; ales, lagers and ciders (draught and bottle), wine, cocktails and numerous spirits.. there really was something for everyone.

As to be expected, like any launch event it was super busy and we had a bit of wait for our lane when we arrived and checked in - but that was fine, there was a number of retro and modern arcade machines to keep me and Nick busy (anyone who knows us knows we love a good arcade!) so we spent an hour or so relaxing, chatting to fellow bloggers and competing for the highest score on…

Revolution Pizza and Bottomless Prosecco

I've been out and about a lot lately and I've been LOVING IT! It's given me such a boost to get back into the blog a lot more frequently and I was lucky enough a couple of weeks ago to be invited to Revolution in Leicester for Pizza and Bottomless Prosecco!

This is a new deal that they're offering for just £25 per person.. yes, that's right... a pizza EACH, and they're amaaaazing, along with bottomless Prosecco or selected cocktails, for just £25 per person for 2 hours. The food and cocktail menus are some of my favourite out there anyway so I was super excited for this and to take one of my main gals along with me! We started with a cocktail when we arrived and as we ordered our Pizza and then moved onto a few glasses of bubbly as we ate and chatted. The team couldn't do enough and were ready to refill our glasses whenever we needed.

I had the Meat Feast Pizza which was insane and we also had the BBQ Chicken Pizza too. Neither of us could finish our Pizzas…

EVENT: Treetop Adventure Golf Leicester

Anyone who knows me personally will know that one of Nick & I's favourite thing to do (wherever we are in the world!) is crazy golf so I was beyond buzzing to see that there's a new family-friendly crazy golf venue opening in the centre of Leicester and we were lucky enough to be invited to the launch night of Treetop Adventure Golf which is just by the Highcross in town.

Last week we joined Leicester in welcoming the newest adventure and had a fantastic night playing golf, drinking cocktails, eating Pizza and chatting with other lovely bloggers! It's safe to say this will be somewhere where we can go back over and over again and never get bored of it.
There are not one, but TWO, 18 hole courses at Treetop Adventure Golf to explore; Tropical Trail and Ancient Explorer. Tropical Trail makes you feel like you're in the rainforest with the greenery and animals around the course and with the old Egyptian modelling around Ancient Explorer, you could easily assume you&#…

BrewDog Birmingham: LoneWolf Distillery Tour

While in Birmingham a few weeks ago, it popped up on my Instagram that Brewdog's own Spirit brand; LoneWolf, was hosting a "distillery tour" in their Birmingham Bar! It was the best idea to round off our couple of days away.
The event was hosted by the Head of Distillation at Brewdog Distilling Co., Steven and the LoneWolf team. It was a fantastic atmosphere and it was great to go to an event where it wasn't overcrowded with so many people you didn't have time to chat to the hosts. I knew a little about LoneWolf as I already have bottles of their Gin and Vodka at home and as Nick is an avid Brewdog fan, we visit the Leicester bar quite a lot. But it was so interesting to learn how LoneWolf came about and to learn how some of my favourite spirits are actually made.

When we arrived into Brewdog we were greeted with a (very much welcoming) LoneWolf G&T to kick start proceedings and it was great to have a chat with other fanatics before getting started.

REVIEW: Benefit Cheekleader - Bronze Squad

One of my HUGE loves throughout early Spring has been the new Bronze Squad Cheekleader by the amazing team at Benefit! I picked this up from the gorgeous Benebabes in Debenhams in Leicester a few weeks ago and I've been using it pretty much every single day when I've not been at work.

I am a lover of the original Hoola but have generally never used anything else from Benefit apart from this, Benetint and the classic Erase Paste so I was super excited to try the Cheekleader. The palette has the perfect product for everyone, no matter what skin colour or tone you are and it's a great product if you're just getting into make up for you to play with, equally it's perfect if you travel and don't want to take a bronzer, highlighter and blush separately. It also comes with the popular square Benefit make up brush too so it's great to just chuck in your bag to top up throughout the day if needed.

I'm not a blush user personally and I normally stick to just bron…

REVIEW: Zoella Brunch Date

Yes.. I caved! And I will happily hold my hands up and say how excited I was to see that Zoe had brought out a brand new make up range with Colour pop! And I know I'm super late in getting this post up, but I've been taking the time to really test the palette and try out new looks with it before I post my thoughts.
As much as I love the Zoella skincare ranges, I was so excited to see Zoe bring out Make up as I'm definitely more into my make up rather than skincare - especially when it's a collab with Colourpop! I actually brought the Brunch Date palette the moment it launched and I especially like how prepared both sides were to ensure that nothing sold out straight away which is what I expected.
For £18, the palette is a firm favourite on my dressing table already as the shadows themselves are wonderfully pigmented. I particularly go for neutral and warm tones in any make up products I use for the most part so this was perfect for me - even the blue is so useable j…

Sale Purchase Favourites

Mainly for the fact I have a million birthday's in January, I LOVE a good sale! And this year I seem to have got some amazing bargains -more so than I think every before. This year there seemed to be a lot of stuff left in the sale for longer and new stuff later on too. Maybe it's because last year I was living in hell working 20387948 hours a week but this year I've really enjoyed shopping a bit more.
I need to chuck a disclaimer out there that you can clearly see I have 2 current obsessions: 1) Black skirts, particularly leather! and 2) Dianne Buswell. I picked up a lot of sale bargains so these are just a few of my favourites.
But first for the skirts...  I picked up the first skirt from Peacocks for just £3. It's a cute little button up skirt which is perfect for work. I also picked up 2 new leather skirts. A PVC Style skirt for just £7.50 from Debenhams which I LOVE (as it makes me feel like I'm in the dominatrix) along with a simple plain "leather"…

Get The Glow: With Revolution

Anyone who knows me knows I am aaaaaaall about that matte finish.. all about the matte, 'bout the matte! Matte everything - and I aways have been! I've never event attempted a dewy look as it's not a look I thought I liked on myself.. HOWEVER.. lately, I've been persuaded by "the glow" after admiring my girl, Meg's, make up at work as well as trying to change up my make up since my skin has dried a little in the cold weather. I've recently been using a dewy finish primer under my foundation to start off with, little steps and all that. But I've been looking at purchasing the Revolution "Glow Revolution Prime Set And Glow" sprays for a while and to beat the January blues, I decided to treat myself.
The sprays are incredible - they're so easy to use, light way and not too over the top which was my biggest worry. They have a lovely "shimmer" to them which close up does look a little like glitter, but in a casual glance, the …
